POSITION - Union: Utility Worker II - Transitional TEMP (2 openings available)

LOCATION: NY - Rochester - Mushroom Blvd

HOURLY RATE: $22.24

Responsibilities

Safely and effectively perform gas and electric tasks including but not limited to turn-on, turn-off, obtaining meter reads, and meter exchanges.Safely and effectively work field collections including in-person customer collections, notice delivery, disconnect for non-payment, and reconnect after disconnection.Report hazardous conditions, meter tampering, and meter conditions.Timely completion of assignments.Assist in ensuring data integrity and customer satisfaction.Adhere to safety policies and practices.Maintain current meter location records and maps.Proper care and maintenance of all assigned company equipment.Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.Must have high school diploma or GED.Must have a valid driver's license.Must be willing to work in various weather conditions including heat/cold, rain and snow.Must be willing to work extra hours as required, including storm work.Must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.Must successfully complete background check, drug screen, and audiogram.Must be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.Must be self-motivated.Must be a team player.Must be able to complete physically demanding tasks on a regular basis
