As a User Engagement Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment and play a role in the agile development process by acting as the interface between the end users and the development team to ensure that the delivered product meets or exceeds the users needs. In this role, you will present design artifacts or prototypes to users, gather feedback, and work with the customer and development team to adjudicate feedback for potential incorporation into the in-work product or as future enhancements. You will work directly with customers, end users, and development engineers to conceptualize, architect, and present solutions that solve the most demanding mission needs.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Generate CONOP for new capabilities.Coordinate with product owners, the systems engineering team, and users to determine the best implementation approach to meet the mission goals.Coordinate with users to determine the root cause of operational issues and support the development and test team in resolving those issues.Provide operational readiness checkout of the new baseline before delivery.Perform site transition to train the user on the system, transition new users to the design, and then provide sustained support to those users as they become familiar with the baseline.Perform remote training sessions to inform users of new capabilities and give refresher training remotely.Provide operational readiness checkout of the new baseline before delivery.Required Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraphFive (5) or more years of relevant experienceExperience with Government contracting for the Space market to include Ground Processing, Command and Control and/or Intelligence SystemsStrong understanding of the TCPED (Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination) process, practices and tools at the IC and/or COCOM level, focusing on tasking and collection -- (strong preference for SIGINT)Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence CommunityExceptional verbal, writing and listening skills: Ability to communicate complex technical solutions across the development and customer environmentsAbility to coordinate, schedule and lead user engagement activities across multiple DoD and IC organizations with minimal oversight and directionFamiliarity in writing and understanding CONOPs documents to describe customer issues and problem areas as well as system requirements analysis practicesUnderstanding of Agile software development practicesWillingness to learn new products and technologies and seek out opportunities for program growthExperience presenting new system capabilities to users and presenting technical reviews to customersExperience as an instructor or working in a training environmentExperience with System Operational Readiness Review (ORR)Technical experience using Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio)Willing to travel (up to 25%)Ability to travel independently to CONUS locationsPreferred Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies

The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $185,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
