Aon is seeking a US Energy Practice Growth Leader in Houston, Texas
This exciting role will drive growth across Aon’s US Energy practice, coordinating with global offices for additional support. The US Energy Practice Growth Leader will collaborate with Energy practice leadership and Market/Sales leaders on growth strategies, both in concept and implementation. This leadership role will play an integral part in achieving quarterly and annual new business revenue goals for the practice.

What the day will look like
Problem-solve, and strategize with Producers, Account Executives, and broking leaders across the US to build, develop, and close specific revenue opportunities.
Evaluate and assist in evolving the operating model to support growth strategies.
Provide support for the Energy team including RFP deal coaching, jeopardy, client planning and articulating value.
Prioritize opportunities and assist with the conversion of qualified leads to enable Sales.
Communicate innovative ways, best processes, market, and competitor trends nationally.
Retain and grow Aon’s business, cultivating relationships with senior-most client decision-makers in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client contacts.
Develop demand generation initiatives across multiple channels to generate incremental pipeline and drive net new sales.
Work with the Practice Leaders to build, tailor and/or implement email campaigns, mailings, seminars, webinars, seminars, roundtables, and Forums to drive revenue opportunities tailored to the Energy Practice’s new business priorities.
Collaborate across the organization to synthesize and develop long-term capabilities, investments, and supporting organizational structure for growth.
Align on critical priorities needed to enable near-term sales.
Support Growth Planning, Client Planning, and Client Discovery (e.g., providing market insights and driving tactical growth).
Provide thought leadership on growth strategy and support new initiatives, programs in partnership with the Sales teams.
Desired Experience:
Minimum 10 years of leadership and deep industry experience in related field
Solid collaboration skills enabling candidate to successfully lead global new business teams in pursuit of target prospects
Strong negotiation skills
Outstanding oral presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form
Track record of personally initiating and closing complex sales
Consistent achievement of assigned territorial or practice business goals
Active involvement in the development and maintenance of a productive growth culture
Ability to bring strategic thinking to programs and processes.

Pay Transparency Laws
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $175-250K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Houston, TX. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus, in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
