As a U.S. Benefits Design Strategy Vice President on the U.S. Benefits Design Strategy Team, you will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, measuring, and managing U.S. healthcare initiatives aimed at improving employee health care.
The JPMorgan Chase U.S. Benefits Design and Strategy team is responsible for evaluating and implementing changes to various benefit programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, long-term disability), monitoring plan performance, regulations and marketplace trends, and taking an active part in the design and implementation of the firm's overall wellness initiatives. The medical plan and wellness program is designed to meet the needs of over 150,000 U.S. employees and is recognized for its commitment to employee health and well-being. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ.
Job responsibilities:
Identifying areas for program enhancements; leading evaluations of ad hoc benefits offerings or program enhancements, which include conducting research and analysis, defining success measures, and preparing materials for senior management review and approval
Developing and monitoring metrics for measuring ongoing performance and effectiveness of benefits offerings and initiatives, ensuring consistency in measurement methodologies and objective comparison of return on investment (ROI) between vendors/programs
Managing deliverables across internal and external stakeholders; understanding reporting/financials; supporting risk/compliance work and plan audits; promoting operational excellence
Working with the broader benefits team on developing and implementing innovative ways to engage employees in their overall well-being
Monitoring healthcare trends and emerging employer healthcare innovation opportunities
Managing the day-to-day operations of certain healthcare initiatives, which includes managing designated vendor(s) in areas that include product offerings, program administration, process changes, member experience and communications and escalated issues
Partnering with internal stakeholders including benefits data analysis and reporting, administration, corporate strategy, customer service, communications, finance, HR technology, legal, IT security, sourcing and wellness teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Strong understanding of the healthcare marketplace, along with a demonstrated track record of deep and thoughtful analysis of the healthcare marketplace, as it relates to large employer plans
Minimum 5 years in corporate benefits, benefits consulting, or health plan/health insurance field
Willingness and ability to innovate fresh and/or unique approaches and solutions
Experience working in a strategic, analytical, or metric-driven position
Ability to effectively lead and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment, multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple deliverables
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills and project management skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Large firm experience (10,000 plus employees)
Experience working in corporate benefits, with a particular focus on strategy and analytics, is strongly preferred
