The Customer Support Specialist is the lead contact to our external customers. The Customer Support Specialist serves as the UPS Capital Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Support Specialist by addressing incoming customer calls and emails, providing courteous and comprehensive services to all our UPS Capital customers while demonstrating superb interpersonal skills and creative thinking. This position supports new and established customer accounts, analyzes and responds to customer requests, resolves customer issues inclusive but not limited to issues with claims, billing and general inquiries, conducts research and prepares reports.
*This role REQUIRES the completion of the Property and Casualty Insurance License. The cost incurred and training involved will be provided by UPS Capital within your first month but will still require personal research and preparation to pass the final exam and be cleared to continue in the role. Required
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing to a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software programs as needed.
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree or higher preferred.
UPS Capital provides the training and support for the completion of the Property and Casualty Insurance License Course & Exam which is a requirement for this role. (https://www.adbanker.com/pre-licensing/insurance/property-and-casualty/)
Must speak, read, and write in English.
Strong phone and communications skills.
Excellent writing ability.
Preferred
Prior customer service experience, preferably in a call center or Inside Sales environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
Experience with Guidewire.
Work independently without continuous supervision.
