　　Education:

　　*Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.Languages:

　　Certifications:

　　American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible.

　　American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 18 months of hire.

　　Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

　　Work Experience:

　　Two years experience as an sonographer in an acute care imaging setting is recommended.

　　Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories.

　　Special Demands: Needs minimal sustained direction in assessing needs, carrying out departmental and professional responsibilities; self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight (8) hours per day and is based on what is needed to accomplish work at hand.

　　Confidentiality: Has limited access to the medical record for the purpose of verifying orders in the charts or prescription and to sign off after exam completion.
