Element has an opportunity for a Non-destructive evaluation (NDE) Level II IUT technician . In this role, you will perform Immersion Ultrasonic using automated UT equipment in our fast-paced NDE labs across the Americas in accordance with industry and customer specifications.

+$20hr differential when traveling, +$150 peridium per day when traveling
Salary: $20-$30/hr
Responsibilities
Conduct IUT test using ultrasonic equipment to ensure the quality or detect defects in test pieces
Set-up , utilize and calibrate IUT test equipment
Use approved techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Capability of analyzing C-scan data and A-scan presentations
Job requires 75% Travel each year to Element facilities
Travel to element facilities to assist in programming fully automated systems, provide production while evaluating and training staff around them, have the aptitude to mentor, train, and explain specifications

Minimum 80hr UT school certificate meeting element standards
Valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment required
Documented on the job (OJT) hours or a level II certificate from a previous employer required
Ability to work day or night shift
Ability to Travel
2 years of NDE experience in the oil and gas or aerospace industries preferred
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
