　　Position Summary:UAS has one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation with grounds and landscaping that enhances our educational buildings, housing, pathways, and this wonderful setting in southeast Alaska. UAS dedicates planning, education and whole lot of hard work to keep our grounds and landscaping looking good. UAS Grounds is seeking student workers to help with campus maintenance. This will be a part-time position, maximum of 20 hrs per week.

　　The grounds division starts early so morning schedules are ideal, although reasonable accommodations are possible.

　　Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

　　Respectful, positive, and effectively work with a diverse team, the University community and the public is required.

　　Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

　　Maintenance of hourly work records

　　Observance of all safety codes

　　Ability and willingness to work outside in bad snow, wind and rain is required.

　　Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

　　Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

　　Required Education or Training:

　　Applicant must be a University of Alaska student, enrolled and regularly attending six (6) or more credit hours and must possess a 2.0 or better cumulative grade point average).

　　Salary Information:

　　This is a Student Assistant 2 position with a minimum pay of $14.96 per hour. A valid driver's license is required.
