Below is the information regarding the Shop Technician opportunity. You will be working in the Midland, TX area in a heavy duty truck shop. You will be required to stay in this area, with some opportunity to return home.

You have AT LEAST 3 years of experience working with 3500/3600 CAT Diesel and Gas Engines
You are comfortable with working in the Midland, TX area - you will be paid per diem if you are not from this area
You are able to easily adapt to changes in work and work under minimal supervision while performing to the top of your ability
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00/HR - Based on experience
Per diem: Based on location - $150 - $250/ day
Schedule: Able to make your schedule with the team - will be expected to work 70 hours/ week

Under minimal supervision, the Oil and Gas Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, tuning, and performing maintenance on Caterpillar engines, gensets, and related equipment in the field in a manner the reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” The Class A Technician will professionally communicate with the Service Manager, Service Coordinators, Technicians, Technical Communicator, and the customers.
• Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns them in on time
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports
• Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and component
• Prepares, inspects, and operates machines prior to delivery
• Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts
• Determines reusability of parts in accordance with published Caterpillar reusability
guidelines
• Orders replacement parts ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete
at the time of order
• Services and maintains equipment sold and/or owned by the company
• Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures
• Analyzes customer repair and maintenance requirements
• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems
• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Performs maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired equipment
Skills:
MUST HAVE: 3500/ 3600 CAT Engine maintenance experience
