POSITION TITLE: Transportation Supervisor REPORTS TO: Transportation Manager Pay Range: $60,000 per year JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Supervisor will ensure that productivity and operational goals are met in order to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. Individual will be working in a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering continuous measurable improvement to the customer. Duties and Responsibilities: * Create and complete all required Logistics reporting. * Identify and resolve employee issues including performance, attendance, and code of conduct violations; * New employee training; * Provides support to the Transportation Manager regarding performance management, career development, and overall staffing strategy; * Provide Exceptional Customer satisfaction * Ensure Logistics team meets all productivity goals and objectives; * Responsible for overall fleet safety management; * Maintain vehicle maintenance reporting on all Leased and Company vehicles * Work with DC and Logistics team on coordinating data for KPI tracking * Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * 5 Years of experience supervising in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment; * Experience with evolving DOT regulations, OSHA, and all related safety regulations; * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; * Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or related field; * 5+ years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment; * Experience working in a retail-based company; * Ability to create project plans and oversee assignments from inception to completion; * Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems; * Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality; * Ability to handle multiple activities and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision; * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; * Ability to work in a changing environment. Working Conditions: Work hours are typically 6:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday, some additional time may be required on evenings and Saturdays.
