Reporting to the WarehouseManager, the Transportation Manager is responsible for providingleadership, oversight and support of projects, initiatives and rolloutsrelated to transportation across company branches

　　Job duties include but not limited to:

　　Oversee and manage overall company transportation spend and activitiesincluding on-site outsourced logistics provider as well as branch directtransportation spending.

　　Partner with outsourced logistics provider to ensure activities relatedto planning, procuring, dispatching, routing, and trackingtransportation vehicles meets organizations quality and servicestandards.

　　Develop and maintain performance KPIs and metrics related totransportation including on-time delivery, freight cost per ton andadditional related metrics.

　　Develop and maintain policy and procedures related to proper shipment ofall goods via freight carriers, UPS/FedEx, and contracted house truckroutes and handling of transportation related issues.

　　In partnership with outsourced transportation provider, develop, report,and analyze data in SLW to maximize efficiency with truck routes andmake recommendations to senior management.

　　Lead and direct investigations to verify and resolve customer shipmentcomplaints.

　　Utilize logistics tracking software network.

　　Interface with Sales, Operations and logistic partners to support bothinternal and external customers requirements.

　　Freight invoice reconciliation and billing charges.

　　Research transportation costs, methods, and opportunities to improvenetwork efficiency.

　　Review and approve contract language for transportation providers

　　Education/Experience:

　　Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent

　　Seven to ten years transportation experience required

　　Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kanban, etc.)
