  Job Description and Duties

  The CalSTRS Facilities Management Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst on the Building Operations Team.

  The Facilities Management Division strives for total customer satisfaction internally and externally as we ensure efficient building operations, a safe, secure environment, and outstanding, reliable services in the areas of Imaging, mail and business services.

  The Building Operations Unit is responsible for the management and oversight of CalSTRS headquarters and satellite campuses, including ongoing management of all contracts for furniture and equipment, Physical Security, Building Safety. In addition, the Building Operations unit has management and oversight responsibility for the Bicycle Library, Fitness Center, Parking Garage, and Waterfront Café.

  Under the direction of the Building Operations Manager, Staff Services Manager II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst serves as the Transportation Coordinator and addresses the more complex facets of Facilities Management for CalSTRS headquarters and Member Service Centers. Liaison with on-site, contracted property management to ensure the facilities needs of CalSTRS staff are met. Provide planning solutions for difficult and/or sensitive projects involving CalSTRS buildings and operations.

  The ideal candidate will possess the following skills :

  Possess strong organizational and time management skills

  Experience or ability to handle multiple assignments and work effectively under pressure

  Ability to apply logical reasoning, analyze issues and present options

  Experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and be willing to learn new technological tools

  Perform both independently and in a cooperative team environment

  Possess excellent customer service skills

  Experience providing reports and data analysis

  Duties will be adjusted at the Staff Services Analyst level.

  Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.

  Telework Information: We offer a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento 2-3 days per week.

  Working Conditions

  All staff of CalSTRS are employees of the State of California and subject to California employment taxes and withholdings. Upon appointment, staff are required to provide a current California address to CalSTRS Human Resources to be used as a remote work location.

  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment with CalSTRS.

  Background Investigation

  Prior to employment with CalSTRS, a background investigation (BI) will be conducted. The BI consists of a Personal History Statement and fingerprinting through the Department of Justice. The BI will check criminal and civil records and, if applicable, verify education and check driving records.
