　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, your main responsibility will be to inspect various stages of transportation construction work. This includes checking grades, elevations, structure stake-out, and roadway stake-out in collaboration with the contractor or surveyor. You will also be responsible for inspecting the placement of materials such as cement concrete, bituminous concrete, drainage materials, and other relevant materials. Additionally, you will conduct compaction testing using a visual non-movement method for sub-surface strata, soils, aggregate, and more. Your tasks will involve completing and maintaining project documentation, performing mathematical calculations, estimating item quantities and project costs, preparing work orders and time extensions, and assisting in resolving any field problems that may arise.

　　One year as an Engineering Technician (commonwealth title); orTwo years as a Transportation Technician or Construction Cost Technician 1 (commonwealth titles); orThree years of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; orThree years of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; orOne year of construction inspection experience, and an associate's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.Other Requirements:You must meet the .
