Your Role
Kuehne + Nagel are seeking to appoint a Transport Supervisor to work within a small but dedicated team at Bicester. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a high standard of service, resolving transportation issues and implementing cost effective strategies.
Your Responsibilities
Effective control of up to 25 employees, up to 60 assets and perform fleet related activities set out by the Transport manager
Promote effective, positive communication with colleagues, other supervisors, managers, internal and external customer to ensure agreed service level achieved
Ensure all health and safety obligations are met providing a legal and safe working environment that consistently exceeds quality standards
Provide daily, weekly & monthly information and reports in line with management and company requirements
Actively support the Transport Manager in continuous improvement projects and tactical improvements to improve efficiency within the operation
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the fleet including Defecting of vehicles, Servicing, Fleet inspections, MOT
Performing regular Audits on Fleet Records ensuring they are all up to date and in order.
Ensure the effective control of first day inductions, driver training & driving assessment, including agency staff.
Your Skills and Experiences
Full UK Drivers Licence (Essential).
Proven Transport knowledge and experience. Working knowledge of Transport legislation.
Proven record in Fleet Compliance in maintenance, MOTs Servicing and breakdowns
Competent Numerate with good attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff to achieve results
Competent Microsoft Office user including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
LGV Driving Licence (C+E) (desirable but no essential)
