Job Overview

　　The individual will be assisting customers at the transfer station by directing traffic on-site on where to deposit trash and recycles, track maintenance and yard/janitorial work and preparing items for transfer.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Maintain various items at the transfer station for continual operationProvide instructions to the customer for the proper location of disposal and on the tipping floorEnsure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Perform facility inspection checks as assigned by a Supervisor.Qualifications:

　　GED/HS Diploma preferred;Covanta offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.Experience operating forkliftPrevious material handling experience a plusGood customer servicePhysical Demands:

　　Candidate must have the ability to work in outdoor elements and rotating shifts.Must be able to lift, push, pull and stand for extended periodsShift WorkWeekly Rotating day and night shift with intermittent mid-shift schedule.
