Position Description
The Training Supervisor develops and administers training programs for employees, assesses training and development needs for organization, helps individuals and groups develop skills and knowledge, creates training standards, presents in-person training sessions, monitors training for effectiveness and productivity.
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Essential Job Functions:
Develops a long term training vision and strategy for the plant
Drives a culture of training, establishes training standards and holds managers/associates accountable for misses related to training
Establishes training MDI and problem solves around training gaps which may include but not limited to driving plant training A3.
Coordinates team of trainers and works with local external resources (community colleges, training centers, grants, state incentives etc.) for training programs that cannot be developed in-house
Coordinates with HR and Operations team to ensure associates are trained and recertified on time
Works with subject matter experts to evaluate, update and develop technical training curriculum
Develops, follows and implements standard work for training
Creation of technical training program, that could include but not limited to; braze excellence, wiring excellence, TWI, TLDP, leadership training, hands-on simulated scenarios, presentations regarding procedures, job expectations and regulatory requirements, the safe operation of various equipment to produce desired results and general information intended to expedite development of personnel during onboarding process and/or employee development.
Create, document, deliver, and track training activities.
Coordinate, build, and revise of training qualifications
Develop evaluation process and conduct evaluations and determine approval or rejection of promotional, level/category, lateral and/or career progress.
Lead and/or coordinate technical training facilitation and qualification.
Scheduling and organizing technical training classes. Schedule rooms, Dojo, trainers, and resources and other required training (GMP, HR, EHS, etc.)
Read, create, and determine JBS, Standard Work needed for performing duties.
Continually evaluate the processes and procedures to develop/modify existing JBS and work instructions for safety and efficiency.
Supervise and assign trainers based on skill set.
Maintenance of technical training records and certification upkeep
Ensure compliance with department policies, procedures, applicable laws, Career Progress, and regulations.
Administers Certification and recertification process.
On-boards new hires and assign them to training sessions
Conducts Standard Work audits to ensure associates are rotating jobs to maintain trained levels across multiple jobs
Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods. Attends training seminars, conferences and other events to keep updated with latest trends and technology in training
Supports the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives
Works to consistently meet and exceed customer requirements
Continuously strives for operational excellence and continuous improvement
Other assignments as assigned by manager and driven by business need
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Previous experience as a training coordinator and/or training role preferred.
Experience in continuous improvement- based tools/techniques
Must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
Proven experience leading/facilitating training along with operational excellence experience in lean transformations
Learn to operate all equipment associated with the job.
Actively practices and promotes safety.
Must be exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and ability.
Project management experience will be highly desired
Previous manufacturing experience will be given a preference
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong coordination and organizational skills

Base Pay Range: $65,000/year and up based on experience
