About the Position: This is a permanent position with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization & Security at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Responsibilities Teach assigned training and operations Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) and sociated TADSS devices used for both basic and advance matrix "train the trainer" courses. Teach assigned training and operations for CREW 2 Countermeasure, Call for Fire Trainers (CFFT), Engagement Skills Trainer (EST), HUMMWV Egress Assistance Trainers (HEAT). Prepares for assigned classes by ensuring instructional materials, training aids and systems are present and are operational. Monitors and observes students during practical exercises and provides assistance as required. Adjusts learning experiences to meet student's needs. Presents instructions according to lesson plans, or deviates, based on student needs. Presents technical instruction to military personnel. Conducts instruction in support of established programs of instruction (POI), consisting of a wide variety of tasks, i.e., target acquisition, identification and engagements with weapons systems with sighting equipment and small arms tactics. Research data from a variety of sources to provide information on doctrine and utilization strategy to applicable trainers. Manage and Account for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Serves as subject matter expert for Virtual/Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulation (TADSS) device trainers, fire control system, calibration, related weapons and various components used in the instruction of trainers. Operates training devices and simulators: Install, set up simulator and performs daily preoperational readiness checks. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree such as a degree in Adult Education or Aeronautics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
