Qualifications
RS&H is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Practice inour Denver, CO office!
Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading traffic engineeringevaluations, studies, and designs of moderate size and complexity. Thisposition will perform traffic operational and safety evaluations using soundengineering principles while working with a multidisciplinary team to identifyappropriate and innovative transportation solutions. This position may beresponsible for providing technical guidance to junior staff and managing atraffic engineering project team to ensure adherence to scope and schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABETaccredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of experience within the field of traffic engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Proficiency with HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, VISSIM, and/or TransModeler.Must possess strong oral and written communications skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license.Extensive traffic design experience including intersection and signaldesign, pavement markings, signage, MOT, ITS, lighting, and signal timingAbility to evaluate traffic operations and safety issues and apply soundengineering principles and judgement towards developing appropriateimprovement strategiesCAD experience including Microstation and/or AutoCADFamiliarity with local, state, and national traffic engineering standardsand practicesPrior experience with CDOT and/or local Colorado agenciesTypical salary range for this position in Colorado is $85,000 to$120,000 and commensurate with experience relative to the position
