The primary function of this position is to safely coordinate dailytraffic operations and perform duties related to the paving operation ina safe efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
The following list is intended to be exemplary of the physical demandsof the position however it is not exhaustive of all day-to-dayfunctions. The incumbent will be required to perform any or all of thefollowing in a given day or week:
Adheres to all safety rules and works safely on all jobs.
Coordinate the placement of cones, barrels and flaggers.
Responsible for safely moving sign packages to ensure flow of dailyoperations of paving and earth work crews.
Must have working knowledge of all OSHA and DOT specifications.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with direct field supervisordaily needs, quality of signs, cones, and safety issues.
Report immediately to foreman any damage to the equipment or safetyhazards or accidents.
Must be able to consistently lift and/or manipulate with push/pull forceof +/- 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this position the incumbent is regularlyrequired to stand for up to 10-12 hours (rest breaks as required by lawwill be provided), use hands, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms,talk or hear, walk, climb stairs, ladders, & catwalks, stoop, bend,twist, kneel and crouch;
Flexibility with regard to schedule working extended hours, nights,weekends, and holidays when business needs dictate. Regional travel withcrew requiring dependable transportation, overnight travel.
Work Conditions
Incumbent must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise level (PPEwill be provided, including hearing protection as required), long hoursstanding, walking, and laboring outdoors in varying weather conditionsfrequently in extreme heat.
