Position Summary: The TOP Advisor powers the potential of TRIO studentsat Oregon Tech by providing holistic and wrap-around advising support toa caseload of up to approximately 75 students. Additionally, the TOPAdvisor teaches student success seminar classes, coordinates TechOpportunities Program (TOP) events, and manages student peer mentorstaff. Finally, the TOP Advisor collaborates cross-institutionally andcommunity-wide with program stakeholders in referring programparticipants to services on an as-needed basis. Normal business hoursmay vary, depending on department need and University events.Qualification Requirements: \' Bachelor\'s degree in Education,Counseling, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or relatedarea. \' One year of experience providing direct service or advisinglow-income, first-generation, or disabled populations. Knowledge ofsocial or cultural systems influencing poverty and/or homelessness. \'Demonstrated ability to multi-task. \' Excellent written and oralcommunication skills \' Strong organization and record keeping skillsPreferred Qualifications: \' Master\'s degree in Education, Counseling,Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology. Student Affairs, orrelated area.
