Job Description Summary

　　The Tooling Main Project Engineer will join the Tooling team within Engineering department, who is responsible for technical studies and design of tools for transportation and erection of main pieces of equipment constituting a hydropower plant (embedded parts, turbine, generator, valves and hydromechanical).

　　He/She will be specifically in charge of project execution for awarded projects in North America region, with a focus on design Validation ( US stamp Mandatory).

　　Roles and Responsibilities

　　For a given project in execution, he/she will perform the calculation and the design of the tools according to the CoE’s Design Practices and with the validation of the tooling principal engineer

　　Represent the Tooling Center of Excellence (CoE) in front of the Project Team: System Integrator, CoE main project engineers, Supply Chain and Construction & Commissioning

　　Coordinate within the Tooling CoE the calculation and design of the full list of tools identified during synopsis phase (detailed transportation & erection sequence of the power plant) – fulfilling planning, cost and safety requirement.

　　Stamp the tooling design whenever needed for our North American project

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience

　　Significant experience (>5 years) in mechanical design

　　US stamp Mandatory

　　Experience in design of lifting equipment and access platform or significant experience on site

　　Good knowledge of CAD and calculation

　　Excellent written & verbal English skills for international communications

　　Proven ability to work with cross-functional and global teams

　　Strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills and a positive energy

　　The base salary range for this position is $87,000-$110,000 USD/year. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
