We are recruiting a full-time Tool & Die Maker for our client in Blaine, MN. This is a direct hire position offering excellent benefits including tuition reimbursement, a small team feel and a flexible work environment. A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. You bring a positive can-do attitude; you are a team player and willing to learn new skills. In this role, you will be required to interpret design schematics, manage the components in your die through each department to ensure accurate fabrication and assemble the completed die. ?You will also need to test the performance of the completed product. Responsibilities: -Builds and/or repairs tooling according to engineering or customer quality, dimensional, and tolerance specifications. -Uses a variety of machines to produce product; performs all machine set up and machining operations. -Provide input to the engineering department on tool design enhancements in order to improve quality and/or performance and reduce costs. -Operate in a skillful manner a variety of machinists tools and inspection equipment, including surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, saws, micrometers, surface plates, gage blocks, etc. Skills and Abilities: -Ability to read technical drawings/prints. -Previous tool making experience, -Computer operation skills. -CAD Software. -Mechanical aptitude.
