  Job Description:

  At Regions, the Business Unit Risk Liaison partners with senior leaders to strengthen the risk management culture across the business units within Regions. This position will work with the Business Unit and the centralized Risk Management department to assist in identifying and assessing the severity and impact of various risks.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Serves as the connection point between business units and Risk Management by fostering partnerships and collaborating as a liaison with other business and functional areas

  Assists in providing risk management consultation for risk identification, defines remediation efforts, and evaluates control design and effectiveness for problem/issue mitigation

  Utilizes a knowledge of different risk types in identifying which risks could be affected by changes both internally and externally (e.g. new business offerings, retiring of offerings, policies and regulations)

  Identifies Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to evaluate performance against desired state

  Serves as an escalation point to support risk assessments with cross-functional teams to ensure the program is effective and scales across all business units, while understanding, recommending, and presenting leadership with recommendations to resolve any gaps

  Develops improvement approaches across the Bank that are holistic, and customer focused

  Identifies and helps prioritize new initiatives to drive business strategy, mitigate potential risks and control gaps, financial return, and/or positive customer impact

  Continuously monitors control compliance and prevalent risk environment to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels

  May assist in developing metrics, models, and tools to create and analyze risk loss estimates and other capital planning documentation

  This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

  Requirements

  High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in risk management, consulting, or financial industry

  Or Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of experience in risk management, consulting, or financial industry

  Preferences

  Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management practices and tools

  Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) experience (RSA Archer platform)

  Relative certifications that can be applied to risk management (e.g. CPA, CIA, CRCM, CAMS, CRMP, CRM, CPMP)

  Six Sigma certifications

  Skills and Competencies

  Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with different areas of the Bank

  Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives

  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and team environment

  Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Products (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams, Visio, SharePoint)

  Strong analytical ability with a high attention to detail and accuracy in the solving of complex problems/issues

  Strong communication, verbal, and organizational skills and the ability to lead meetings, prepare documentation, and balance differing viewpoints

  Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results

  Working knowledge of differing risk types, the three lines of defense model, and applicable Enterprise Risk programs

  Working knowledge of financial and or non-financial risk management strategies including risk and control self-assessment methodologies, processes, and tools

  Primary Responsibilities

  The Technology, Operations, Digital and Data (TODD) Risk Program Governance and Strategy Liaison role supports the design, communication, implementation, and execution of the TODD Risk strategy. The role will contribute to efforts designed to ensure consistent execution of risk programs across TODD

  Identifies, monitors, and report risks that are emerging for TODD.

  Collaborates and coordinates within TODD teams and key stakeholders to promote consistent risk approach

  Contribute to process improvement strategies on existing procedures and processes to ensure effectiveness within the organization

  Contribute to effective governance materials and meetings to ensure the Technology and Operations Risk Oversight Committee (TOROC) is positioned to execute its duties

  Identify, create, and challenge metrics to aid in driving better stakeholder monitoring results and increased efficiency

  Executes targeted risk assessments, issues management outreach, and control standards mapping

  Provides regulatory exam and audit support for TODD partners

  Delivers upon multiple initiatives while adhering to deadlines

  Obtains and maintains necessary training to keep current on the discipline of Risk Management

  Prepares team presentations and deliverables to stakeholders, including oversight committees

  Produce presentations and/or workshop materials for TODD risk training curriculum

  Participate in execution of design enhancements of Risk program components, including frameworks, reporting, policies, and procedures

  Prepare process procedures and contribute to identification of continuous improvement solutions

  Contribute to preparation of project plans, timelines, critical paths, and milestones

  Solves a range of standard-complex problems and analyzes possible solutions using available tools and resources

  Preferences

  Experience with project management software (ex: Microsoft Project, JIRA)

  Experience utilizing business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

  Skills and Competencies

  Ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders

  Ability to quickly adapt, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines, in a dynamic environment

  Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts

  Intermediate knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management framework and principles

  Strong work ethic, self- motivation, and high level of intellectual curiosity

  Ability to coordinate cross-functionally to gather and analyze data

  Ability to design frameworks and procedural aids for use by stakeholders

  This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

  This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary locations being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

  Compensation Details

  Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

  The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

  $79,100.00 USD
