Summary:
The Tissue Processing Technician works in a Controlled Work Area (CWA) andis responsible for:
CS (Central Services)Decontaminating, cleaning, and sterilizing reusable equipment and suppliesthat are utilized in Production.Tissue ProcessingSafely and aseptically processing human tissue and cell products according toapplicable SOPs, WIs, and product specifications.Depending on the product/process, the Tissue Processing Technician mayutilize various tools, equipment, machinery, and chemicals.

Shift differential: $22/hr plus $2.50/hr shift differential forthe weekend shift
Shift: Friday-Sunday; 6:00am - 6:30pm (full-time position)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to aseptic technique and processing practices per applicable standards.Interpret applicable product specifications and perform tasks according toestablished procedures and company expectations.Complete accurate processing records in accordance with Good DocumentationPractices.Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistentwith current Standard Operating Procedures/work instructions, trainingrequirements, safety practices and company policies.On a rotating schedule this position will work on company observed holidays.Overtime and call-in work will be determined as needed.May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of general work experienceAbility to read and comprehend detailed procedures, written and verbalinstruction in EnglishFamiliar with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related fieldAATB and/or CTBS certificationCertification in Sterile Processing and Distribution (CSPD)Experience performing aseptic technique and in medical or laboratoryenvironmentPrevious FDA and/or Tissue Banking experiencePrevious tissue/cell processing or Central Supply experience
