TIG Welder Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Welder must be qualified to perform GTAW or TIG weld operations specific to high vacuum applications and interpret customer engineering documentation & drawing requirements. He or She shall be capable of weld operations compliant to the latest edition of AWS D1.6, AWS B2.1, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX, or EN 287-1.TIG Welder Key duties/responsibilitiesMust be capable of performing GTAW or TIG weld operations on both stainless steel and aluminum assemblies and sub-components.Must be capable of performing GTAW or TIG weld operations specific to high vacuum applications while interpreting customer engineering documentation & drawing requirements.Must maintain welding supplies, equipment and welding department tooling per Client’s quality system requirements.Provides coworker support as directed by Supervisor or Executive ManagementKeep accurate time records via ERP system.Demonstrate practical knowledge of Good Machining Practices (GMP)Be respectful and a team player with co-workers.Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.TIG Welder Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Graduate or equivalent GEDTig Welder Minimum requirements:Minimum 3 years’ experience in TIG weld operations specific to high vacuum applicationsMust be familiar with machine shop tooling, fixturing and basic suppliesCertification to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section IX, or EN 287-1 is a plus
