The Therapy Aide is responsible for performing tasks in support, preparation for and application of treatment including, but not limited to: maintaining a safe, clean environment, stocked with appropriate supplies and equipment; monitoring, organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment; transporting patient and supplies; performing general office duties; coordinating departmental volunteers; assisting in the construction and application of adaptive equipment, orthopaedic soft goods and splints; attending to the patient's personal needs during therapy and assisting in the performance of patient-related activities under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapist, Therapeutic Recreation Specialist; or the Occupational or Physical Therapist Assistant (named Therapist throughout remainder of document). Collects and reports data but does not interpret such data. Demonstrates competencies defined (*) in Therapy Aide responsibilities in providing age-appropriate care and services to patients from the age of birth to 21 years, and selected adult patients.Hours & Location: This role is full time, 40hrs a week.
