Position Summary This position provides group and family therapy to students enrolled in the Educational Mental Health Classrooms within the 916 School District. These mental health classrooms are a collaborative project between Canvas Health Inc. and Intermediate School District 916. This position will be located within a school building of the Intermediate School District 916. The individual in this position must follow ISD 916 policies and procedures as they relate to school environment, student behavior and safety planning. This position will participate in any in-services and/or trainings as directed. Therefore this position is collaborative in nature and requires working closely and being sensitive to relationships with the school district as well as with community providers and the local Social Service and Court Services departments. This position will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide leadership to the educational and clinical staff in developing an atmosphere within the classroom that is sensitive to individual children's needs to promote academic learning and mental health treatment. Minimum Qualifications Possess a master's degree or higher in psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy Currently possess or within six (6) months of possessing a Minnesota State Licensure from The Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy (e.g. LP, LICSW, LMFT) Licensure currently has eligibility or is eligible to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with and/or delivering services to diverse populations. Experience in residential or day treatment setting.
