　　Job Description Summary:

　　This role resides within Dematic’s Global Systems and Software R&D QA organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing the Verification and Validation test cases / procedures and plans. At the same time, this role will collaborate with various software, mechatronics, systems engineering group to ensure Solution requirements are met and System and solutions requirements traceability is fulfilled. When needed, the V&V engineer will participate in project Technical Design Reviews and provide V&V QA Technical inputs to the design teams. The engineer will work with a cross-functional teams to create and execute V&V test plans, scripts and interpret test results. The engineer will appropriately close the Verification and Validation records for the project including assisting in preparing the final V&V report.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Define, Develop, assist in preparing and maintaining Verification & Validation Test Scripts, Test plan, Test metrics, and other related documentation for System and Software solutions under validation.

　　Define and Develop strategies for Verification & Validation including use of simulators, emulators, and physical testing.

　　Create, update and maintain V&V Test cases for end-to-end System solution functional requirements.

　　Execution of V&V Test cases to demonstrate compliance with System Engineering requirements.

　　Triage and debug system functional issues during V&V functional and validation testing.

　　Document and analyze V&V Test results.

　　Log defects and issues found during V&V activities and track to closure.

　　Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results.

　　Utilize and promote the use of model-based systems engineering approaches and tools.

　　Mentor junior engineers to help them progress along the technical career path (if applicable to V&V Engineering level).

　　Collaborate closely and stay aligned with product management, mechatronics engineering, software architecture, R&D and software and engineering teams.

　　Requirements:

　　Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. (Master’s or PhD degree a plus)

　　5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years of V&V quality control experience, preferably in the Logistics and Automation Intralogistics domain, or manufacturing, automation, machine building or aerospace industries.

　　Current Hands on Software and Systems V&V and Software Testing experience.

　　Current experience with system verification and validation, including working with Emulation, Simulation, and Physical testbeds.

　　Current and continuous working experience in software development and testing tools ex: JIRA / Testrail, IntelliJ IDE, Maven, Docker, Defect triage tools

　　Current experience testing in Cloud environments / Cloud native Enterprise applications.

　　Full cycle V-model systems engineering experience in systems involving mix of hardware and software.

　　Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as IBM DOORs (or IBM Jazz, HP ALM or similar).

　　Experience with model-based systems engineering and tools such as IBM Rhapsody, MagicDraw or similar.

　　Experience in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) validation and analysis.

　　Experience in Automation testing (java / sql / HTML experience)
