Posting Summary	Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH).Principal Investigator, Dr. Lan Luo, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant with strong computing and quantitative skills to manage and analyze DNA methylation datasets. The Assistant will assist with research projects related to conformal prediction and transfer learning in high-dimensional penalized regression models. The primary responsibility will be performing data management and statistical analyses of datasets with large numbers of observations and predictors. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student interested in developing expertise in both methodological and applied research in statistics/biostatistics.Among the duties for this position are: Download and preprocess DNA methylation datasets from various publicly available data sources. Analyze the datasets with some high-dimensional data analysis techniques such as sure independence screening and elastic net. Create tables and figures, and assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations. Provide updates on research progress in an organized and timely manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities	Bachelor's Degree. Excellent coding skills in R programming language. Prior research experience in statistical/computational research Prior data analysis experience (in data cleaning and model fitting) In-depth knowledge of research methodologies; hypothesis testing, and primary data capture, manipulation, and visualization Excellent communication and writing skills Proficient use of computers and data analysis software (R, and/or Python)
Preferred Qualifications	Current Rutgers student preferred. Previous experience in high-dimensional data analysis
