Come join our team as a Temporary Driver/Cook Assistant and help us in a variety of capacities by using your heavy lifting ability to load/unload and deliver meals and other supplies to our classroom sites. You may also find yourself assisting with final preparation and packaging of hot/cold foods and supplies, general cleaning, and assisting with inventory/stocking supplies. Scheduled for 30 hours per week.
This position is Un-benefited. $19.01 dollars per hour. General schedule is Monday- Friday daytime hours.

DRIVER/COOK ASSISTANT :Education: Prefer High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: One year of delivery driving experience preferred. Six months experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering experience desired. Preference will be given to past or current EOCF- served parents with one year documented volunteer service in an agency program.
*Bi-lingual highly desired.
Certification and Other Requirements
Valid Washington State Food Handler's card
Valid First Aid and CPR cards
Valid Oregon or Washington State driver's license, a record of no DWI convictions or other violations which have resulted in the suspension or revocation of a driver's license in the preceding three years, and proof of automobile insurance as mandated by Washington State law.
Ready access to a personal, legally licensed motor vehicle
Acceptable Driving Abstract
Submit to finger printing and criminal history background check
Pass a pre-employment health screening indicating freedom from communicable diseases, and an annual health checkup indicating freedom from communicable diseases
Commit to EOCF's drug-free work place policy
Knowledge of:
Safe driving practices
Vancouver WA geographical area
Principles of nutrition as it relates to children's healthy development.
Principles of safe and healthy food storage, preparation, and service.
Basic principles of grammar, written and oral communication, and mathematics.
Ability to:
Walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, reach and twist on a continual basis.
Grasp, push, pull objects such as loaded boxes, crates, general hardware, equipment, dollies, hand trucks and various carts.
Continually and safely lift and carry/maneuver up to 50+ lbs.
Perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Read, follow, understand and execute recipes and follow written and verbal directions p recisely.
Use basic mathematics skills accurately to measure, portion, predict and calculate food q uantities.
Multi task and prioritize responsibilities on a daily and ongoing basis.
Understand and follow written and verbal directions in English.
Work cooperatively with other staff members and with clients from diverse cultural, s ocio-economic and educational backgrounds.
Work independently in a logical, efficient, and productive manner.
Use good judgment and problem solving skills while taking a team approach to resolving problems or conflicts.
Demonstrate professional and effective verbal communication skills; receive information and feedback in an understanding manner.
Attend appropriate staff meetings and out of town training sessions as assigned.
