DescriptionThe Ballot Security Judge is responsible for daily collection of ballots from24-hour ballot drop-off locations and Voter Service and Polling Centers(VSPCs). They are responsible for completing chain of custodydocumentation and delivering supplies to VSPCs, and collecting mail from theGeneral Mail Facility (GMF). They may also be responsible for deliveringand collecting ballots and ballot boxes from Healthcare Facilities (HCFs)and the Arapahoe County Jail.
Applicants for this position must be willing to travel in the same vehiclewith another election worker.

Contacts require the ability to exercise a highdegree of interpersonal skills to influence pe sons at all levels.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work involves transporting ballot boxes and mail trays between the ArapahoeElections Warehouse, the General Mail Facility, and various Voter Serviceand Polling Centers, Healthcare Facilities, Arapahoe County Jail, andballot drop-off boxes.Work requires travel in a rental vehicle with other people.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with thisposition.Spends 40% of the time sitting and 60% of the time either standing,walking, twisting or bending.Frequently lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 50 lbs. Assistance froma co-worker is recommended.Uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 50 lbs.Frequently stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and croucheswhile performing work duties.Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use ofautomated mail ballot machinery or equipment.Visual capacity enabling use of work related equipment, and passengervehicles.Definitions:Occasionally: Activity exists less than 1/3 of the time.
