The Quality Enclosure philosophy is hire || to retire and were excited to have you join our growing family. || || POSITION SUMMARY: || The Tempering Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager and is || responsible for the organization, production build || planning/scheduling, and safe execution of Daily Orders to be || processed on time by following Quality Enclosures, Inc. business || model of (SQDC) Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This position || requires strong people skills and execution of build plans along with || a solid understanding of manufacturing. || || PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: || || - Ensures the protection of the Quality Enclosures, Inc. brand, || facility, teammates, and assets within the property. || - Supervise and train tempering operators to ensure they follow || safety procedures and produce high-quality tempered glass shower || enclosures. || - Provide leadership to ensure teammates demonstrate appropriate || work skills, technical accuracy, efficiency, and conformity to || company policies. || - Responsible for the startup of the facility. || - Ensure that the facility/building and all departments receive || professional maintenance service promptly to ensure high || equipment availability and performance. || - Maintain an accurate inventory of tempering materials needed for || equipment and production. Provide the Plant Manager with the || needed inventory in a timely manner. || - Collaborate with other departments and the Plant Manager to || determine daily and weekly work priorities and adjust work || schedules accordingly. || - Conduct daily team meetings with tempering teammates to || communicate production expectations. || - Assign tasks to te mmates and follow-up ensuring successful || completion. || - Provide teammates with timely and accurate feedback on || performance reviews, disciplinary issues, material shortages, || equipment problems, etc. when required or appropriate. || - Provide previous day production data for Daily Operations || meetings and be able to provide details. || - Create and maintain a plant floor environment that promotes || safety and the safe operation of the tempering process. Be A || Safety Leader. || - Confer with HR, Plant Manager, and teammate to resolve employee || relation issues and performance. || - May be required to perform other duties and functions or assist || in other departments as needed depending on the needs of the || business. || || || QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: || || - College or Technical education preferred or High school diploma || at a minimum. || - Experience in manufacturing and leadership (>3 years) preferred. || - Must actively participate as a team member and be willing to || maintain high levels of productivity, occasionally sustaining || longer working hours when necessary. || - Must demonstrate high attention to detail, organization, || analytical and critical thinking, decision-making, quality || control, and proven team management and coaching abilities. || || || PHYSICAL DEMANDS: || || - Must have good vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to || perform essential job functions. || - Must have good awareness of surroundings. || - Must be in good physical condition and must have full body || rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, || reaching, etc.) to perform essential job functions. || - Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to || 50 pounds of force frequently. || - Ability to work while standing for a long period of time. || - Specific vision abilities required by this job include the || ability to focus and to differentiate between colors and shades || of colors. || - Ability to work in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned || environments. || || || WORKING CONDITIONS: || This role is primarily indoors. Exposure to sharp and rapid equipment || movement, sharp utensils and materials, harmful chemicals, and or || solvents may occur if proper safety procedures are not followed. Use || caution and stay clear of being exposed to the possibility of broken || glass on the floor and in the air.
