Link Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Lead to join our team at West Point, New York.

Must be a US Citizen 

Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance

Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

In this role, the Telecommunications Infrastructure Support Lead will assist our government client in operating and maintaining the information and infrastructure systems at the United States Military Academy West Point and its associated remote sites. At Link Solutions, you’ll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement and growth. 

Job Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information and telecommunication systems operations.

Oversee an experienced team in the management and support of enterprise-level infrastructure.

Work with government customers to identify needs or opportunities for improvement.

Plan and implement projects without impacting daily operations.

Oversee tasks and activities related to technical support, cybersecurity, IT operations, CAD, and telecommunications.

Conduct quality assurance reviews and evaluate new and existing tools and technologies.

Provide planning, quality assurance, and control support (QA/QC).

Ensure assigned tickets are addressed with our government client.

Serve as the point of contact (POC) for the RNEC to coordinate and schedule exercise support.

Lead a team of technicians to install, operate, and maintain copper, fiber, and coaxial infrastructure.

Design and document new or updated inside and outside plant cable infrastructure, including conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, and fiber optics.

US Citizen

Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance

Seven (7+) years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, facility design, and installation. 

Three (3+) years in a supervisory or lead position.

Knowledge and experience of BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.

BICSI RCDD certified.

Experience developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling.

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices.

Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT and telecommunications systems.

Knowledge of I3A standards, as well as infrastructure planning.

Experience with MS Office Suite.

Preferred: 

BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.

IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).

Project Management certification (PMP/PMI CE).

BICSI  Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.

Knowledge of TMS I3A and UFC guidelines

Knowledge of TIA/EIA 568 Commercial Building Cabling Standards.

Knowledge of ISP, OSP, and ATS technologies.

Familiar with C4IM standards, services, and requirements.

Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. 

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 

Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.  

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
