  Position Purpose: The Technician I will be responsible for the assembly ofprecise mechanical components for space flight use.

  Title: Technician I

  Position Type: Full Time

  Pay Range: $19.00 - $34.62/hr

  (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignmentwith market data.)

  Location: Boulder or Lafayette, CO

  Job Responsibilities:

  Handle, mix and freeze epoxies, staking compounds and solventsAbility to interpret and work to engineering drawingsAbility to use magnification aids (microscopes, eye loupes, etc.)Work on small precision assemblies, work with small tools underneath amicroscope, handle delicate partsIdentify non-conforming parts or workmanshipMaintain lab cleanliness, inventory materials and order as requiredCollect and record process data, maintain Assembly instructionsMonitor work area to ensure compliance with standards and specificationsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships within the ProductionDepartmentWork with engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical issuesCross train in multiple areas of specialtyProvide input for continuous process improvement, develop more refined waysof assembling parts and productsPerform tasks with a high level of integrityMaintain a regular and predictable work scheduleOther responsibilities as assigned

  Required Qualifications/Education:

  Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts.Ability to acquire all required certifications for production support.Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities.Familiarity with small tools used for handheld assembly.High standard workmanship is a mustHigh School diploma or equivalent0 2 years experience working in an aerospace production environment isdesiredRelated technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

  Working Conditions:

  This job operates in a professional office environment, but in amanufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such ascomputers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and faxmachines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 daysfrom the date the notice was posted.
