  Job Description:

  As a Technician in our Bridge Program, you will be performing difficult and moderately complex engineering duties in a variety of office engineering specialties.

  Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  Drafting and reviewing plans,

  Quantity and cost estimating,

  Development of specifications, and

  The assembly of the final contract documents for bridge projects.

  To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:

  Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.

  Preference will be given to those with a knowledge of engineering principals, mathematics, and computer-aided design and drafting software.

  Retirement Plan – The State of Maine contributes 13.16% for MSEApositions and17.96% for Confidentialpositions, of employee’s pay to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS), on behalf of the employee.

  Gym Membership Reimbursement – Improve overall health with regular exercise and receive up to $40 per month to offset this expense.

  Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts – Set aside money pre-tax to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or daycare expenses.
