Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years of experience in aviation industry. Relative Gulfstream experience preferred.. 5 years of experience in training related area.
Position Purpose:
Directing a multi-site team of technical specialists to, research, develop, and deliver technical aircraft training to influence the ability of our customers and our employees to conduct safe and efficient aircraft manufacturing, maintenance and operations.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Ensure the technical accuracy and operational relevance of all training programs for Gulfstream aircraft.
Oversee the development and delivery of employee and/ or aircraft operator customer training requirements to meet all business and contractual obligations for current and future Gulfstream aircraft.
Solicit, exhibit, and promote teamwork, professionalism, and marketing innovation between Gulfstream and suppliers to provide opportunities for increased financial return and enhanced customer confidence.
Assist in the production and maintenance of a training schedule and assign/administer department resources to meet training schedule.
Manage key supplier relationships to increase training interface opportunities.
Monitor and manage department budget and accrued expenses. Ensure that the most cost effective and efficient means are used to provide all necessary training.
Work with other departments to accomplish/enhance practical training opportunities and ensure all trainers maintain their practical proficiency and knowledge of current fleet issues.
Additional Functions:
Travel to other Gulfstream and supplier sites as necessary to ensure the effectivity of the training. .
Ensure the security of all company proprietary information. .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
A&P License preferred.
Instructor development training is required.
Supervisory and project management experienced preferred.
Skilled user of PowerPoint, MSWord, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to utilize media equipment.
Ability to read/interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
