Reference #: 923795Cleveland Brothers, the largest Cat dealer in Pennsylvania, northern West Virginia and western Maryland, has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer in either our New Stanton or Harrisburg (Manada Hill) facilities. This is the perfect opportunity for an accomplished electrical engineering professional with sound technical skills who can identify, develop, and manage strategic technical relationships.This individual will work closely with consulting engineers and owners in the design/planning stage to position product specifications for power generation systems.Duties & Responsibilities:Engage engineering firms and end users on a continuous basis for EPG stand-by, prime and low energy projects across Cleveland Brothers assigned Caterpillar territoryShare ideas and customer needs throughout product life cycle phases (plan, design, acquisition, installation, and service)Provide quality technical support as needed to establish long-term internal and external customer relationshipsAssist consultants with writing electrical system specs, defining Caterpillar and other equipment scope of abilities, life cycle estimates and extended warrantiesReview project designs and recommend appropriate Caterpillar & other manufacturer equipment product solutionsCompile tools (sizing, starting, maintenance) to increase efficiency and speed of response to inquiries; could include electronic resources, utilizing CAT or 3rd party equipment reps to expedite a responsePrepare and conduct technical/product presentations and demos with consulting engineers and end users (lunch and learn, continuous education credits, etc.)Develop budgetary proposals for internal and external customersEstablish and maintain professional relationships in industry associations. Participate in customer events and trade shows (IEEE, EGSA, ASHRAE, Electric League, Hospital Society of Engineers)Stay abreast of new technology and modifications to include and add value to proposalsAttend periodic CAT dealer engineering influencer meetings and calls and Caterpillar training or meetingsWork with Power Systems environmental emissions champion to provide emissions compliance support to engineering firms, end users as well as CB Power Systems market groupsIn-territory travel up to 25% to customer/owner facilitiesOther duties as required

Requirements:Background and ExperienceAt least five years of electrical design experience that includes generator & uninterruptible power systems, combined heat power, low energy systems, biomass, automatic transfer switches and switchgearMust have experience reading electrical schematics and drawingsBachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
