　　DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:As the Technical Sales & Service Trainee you will grow and learn within the Industrial Coatings' Coil & Extrusion segment aimed at growing a pipeline of both commercial and technically savvy sales or technical service employees to deliver profitable regional growth for the COEX business. This position will learn all of the functions of the business, in order to grow SOW, and earn a position in the field after the 2 year apprenticeship. The position reports to the Sr. Manager, COEX of Industrial Coatings and will be expected to flex and grow under the entire USCA COEX portfolio as the employee develops. It is a pivotal position for our customers at the intersection of our sales and service teams.

　　Responsibilities: * Learn and follow the PPG EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) Culture. Confirm that accurate safety attitudes, procedures, site rules are observed on all work programs and conduct work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, the environment, and the safety of the community * Follow safe work practices, with mechanical skill and ability to communicate effectively and optimally with technical, production and non-technical personnel to satisfy customer requirements. * Learn all aspects of the COEX business, customers, end-users, key decision makers, and internal to PPG. * Develop a Coil & Extrusion customer base to profitably increase sales in the region * Work with the COEX Sales Team to track trends within the market and develop strategic initiatives to penetrate new segments and opportunities * Work with the COEX Technical Service teams to resolve customer issues and teach customer line personnel. * Track regional projects that have opportunities for capitalized sales growth * Providing timely resolution to customer inquiries - application process monitoring, consignment inventory, material ordering, and hands-on support as needed; followed by written documentation. * Air-Dry Fluoropolymers - complete hands-on application testing and qualification. * Operate and maintain field coating inspection test equipment, following established specifications.

　　Qualifications: * BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of skills, expertise, B2B sales/inside technical sales experience. * 1-2 years of sales or technical service experience is preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Word) * Experience with Salesforce, CRM, SAP, or ClientLink is preferred. * Strong digital literacy, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and technical report writing * Limited Travel estimated 15-25%
