This Technical Program Manager role is a key program position that will drive efficiency and coordination to support the Identity team based in Seattle that serves a unique role in providing critical consumer facing access and identification services across The Walt Disney Company business units. You will also assist where needed in overall program coordination throughout the Identity Organization.
What You Will Do
Manage technical teams, serve in scrum ceremonies, and provide release support as needed.
Work with Product, design and other key partners to support engineering efforts.
Work with engineering teams and leadership to establish processes that will ensure success on high priority business initiatives and improve efficiency.
Lead planning meetings, scrum ceremonies and cross functional coordination.
Manage program reporting for engineering efforts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Have experience or knowledge in leading the development of back-end service and consumer-facing software.
Have experience or knowledge implementing Agile and other software development frameworks and methodologies.
Familiarity of industry-standard project management tools such as Jira, Confluence.
Ability to work with project partners to define project achievements and results, and you are able to effectively communicate requirements to development teams.
Prepared to lead effective meetings, planning, documenting decisions and follow up.
Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks to internal and external partners.
Display initiative, take a proactive approach, and are able to start the conversation and guide other program leads in process development. Consistently evaluating processes and seeking for ways to improve at every iteration.
Have developed crucial soft skills including meeting leadership, communication, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem solving, critical thinking, & conflict resolution.
Learn quickly and enthusiastically, particularly about technical systems and issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading technical teams, scrum teams, software development lifecycle delivery, and release management.
Experience working with product and design and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and engage with engineering teams to drive projects forward.
Education
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experienceThe hiring range for this position in Seattle, Washington is $89,300 to $119,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
