Job description
Main Purpose
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Technical Engineer will beresponsible for providing technical assistance and guidance to allcompany sites related to project development, process improvements,compliance, and technical issues.
The role
Key Job Responsibilities
Work with Technical Director to evaluate and develop innovativesolutions to business opportunities and facility challengesSupport continuous improvement strategies that are imaginative toeliminate waste and improve safety, quality, customer satisfaction,and overall operational efficiency.Evaluation of equipment and process design to ensure compliance withsafety and environmental regulations.Present process knowledge and technical information to peers orothers as needed.Help implement operating procedures.Support projects at company to hazardous and non-hazardous wastetreatment plants that include:
Operational and technical principles of wastewater treatment plantsincluding wastewater system analysis, processes, monitoringequipment, and treatment plant equipment.Gas treatment technologies including wet and dry scrubbers.Incineration.Distillation.Dust control equipment including cyclones, baghouses.Coordination and follow up with Vendors and facility management toensure successful project completion.After adequate training from the Air Quality consultant, duties asassigned related to the Norlite Emissions Program that include but arenot limited to the proper operation of the dust monitoring, sampling andwind instrumentation equipment.These duties include checks andcalibration of equipment. and removal and installation of samplingcartridges and shipping/receiving of cartridges to and from the lab foranalysis.
