Position Purpose:
Responsible for handling the administration, maintenance, and communication of a national account to include regulatory information, waste and characterizations, contract specifications, manifests and schedules, resolving invoice discrepancies, etc. to ensure accuracy of customer and/or Veolia personnel inquiries. Individual must have knowledgeable expertise in labpacking, profile creating, chemical grouping, a variety of disposal options, treatment facility approvals, RCRA and DOT regulations and compliance. Provide guidance to field operations staff as well as administrative support to achieve client’s goals, deliver quality services at a high level of satisfaction. Incumbent is also responsible for maintaining customer file systems, to include customer correspondence and invoicing accuracy, track transportation, lab analysis, create waste information profiles, as well as update customer database.
This position is a hybrid role and can be performed from any Veolia branch location.
Primary Duties/responsibilities:
Complies with all applicable governmental regulations, and ESS policies and procedures.
Comply with and enforce all compliance, health and safety, and procedures in accordance with departmental procedures.
Ensure completion and accuracy of all DOT/EPA and ESS regulations required in submitting paperwork.
Process incoming waste profile sheets for accuracy and forward to appropriate destination indicating disposal methodologies for approval and resolve any discrepancies.
Enter a variety of information into the appropriate system programs to include profile information, approval decisions, and confirmation letters.
Respond to calls with respect to waste pickup and scheduling by informing appropriate personnel with dates, customer, and scheduling data.
Maintains customer information in AMS and sales file including customer file which may include customer correspondence, contracts, waste profiles, and current profiles.
Schedules customer pick-ups and creates customer paperwork such as manifests, LDRs, labels, etc.
Contacts customers on an as-needed basis regarding specific job related requirements, obtaining additional information, and job satisfaction and quality.
Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and/or potential problems.
Oversee all branch specific requirements included in the national agreement.
Create and/or Review billing packets for accurate coding data and confirm codes to match contracted pricing for final approval.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
BS in or BA in related science discipline or equivalent work experience required
2 to 3 years years of hazardous waste experience required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge in environmental technologies
Knowledge in lab packing, writing waste profiles and assigning approvals
Highly organized and structured - able to follow a standard process
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
Strong customer relationship/ management skills
Computer proficient able and comfortable using dispersed team tools
Knowledge of internal and external disposal site capabilities and limitations.
Knowledgeable in DOT/EPA regulations and ESS policies and procedures, including reactive material.
Familiar with billing and invoicing
