You are responsible for (but not limited to)
The Technical Consultant provides pre and post-sale technical support of Philips patient monitoring solutions in their specialized assigned domain (routing and switching) through consultation, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
They will make up the local technical service teams to implement patient monitoring solutions and engage customer IT specialist to complete configurations, enhancements, and knowledge transfer to the associated customer specialist.
Responsibilities include providing professional level server, and routing and switching consultation to customer's pre and post-sale. Apply industry standard practices and Philips standard implementation to all customers who choose Philips solutions. Delivery of consultative services within the assigned domain of the resource and the ability to act as the subject matter expert when required by a customer during the appropriate point of an implementation or troubleshooting event. Effectively collaborate with sales and service partners as well as collaborate with customers for integration into their IT environment.
The Technical Consultant will not have direct reports. They will report into the District Solution Manager under the Director of Customer Services and will be regionalized to work specifically within the service region and occasionally in the wider zone structure. They will primarily interact with customers, sales, project managers, and network engineers. The Technical Consultant will be integrated into their assigned implementation teams and serve as support for the sales team for highly technical IT engagements in the pre-sales space. They will complete implementations, troubleshoot systems, and deliver consultative IT services. In addition, they will act as a point of escalation and support for the local team in their area of specialization.
Key Areas of Responsibilities Consult with healthcare institutions to ensure successful integration of solutions into the customer IT environment.Act as subject matter expert for complex IT concepts within the specialization for the local implementation teams to ensure complete solution deliveryCollaborate across functions to achieve overall business objectivesDeploys and/or integrates software solutions within the purview of the associated domain for complex IT solutions which carry proprietary real-time life critical data and are required to reliably output to hospital IT environmentsEducates customers to maintain their systemsLeverages insights to drive service innovation leads that align with customer needsResolves technical issues and offer proactive technical supportDocuments solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward developmentContributes to the collective learning of Philips, seeking to share knowledge globally; assesses and shares repeatable processes that can be leveraged across multiple projectsPractices strong configuration management and version controlIs a key member of the implementation project and/or support team; fosters collaboration through sharing experiences, information, perspectives, skills and expertiseDrives continuous improvements of our implementation methodology and service offerings based on customer feedbackOther duties and responsibilities as required and/or assigned This position includes up to 50% travel throughout the Mid West territory which can cover (SD, ND, Ohio Valley, Chicago, St Louis)

This division of Philips specializes in the installation and service of patient monitoring devices, networks, and telemetry systems to avoid and reduce complications and improve the care delivery process across the entire hospital. As hospital environments become more integrated, the service organization is looking to expand its ability to install and service complex networks, as well as consult with customers on high-end integrations.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Associates degree preferred3 years' combination of customer service and technical experience, preferably within HealthcareCisco certifications at the professional level with a preference for CCNP and Microsoft certificationsTechnical skills including servers, wireless, security, or routing and switching.The ability to translate customer specifications and existing infrastructure working patient monitoring solutions.Understanding of industry standard server, wireless, security, or routing and switching knowledge. Knowledge of Philips solutions preferred.Ability to collaborate with customer's subject matter experts and internal teams to understand customer needs and proposing IT solution requirements.Ability to translate technical information into usable working knowledge across all levels, up to CXO.Strong communication, problem solving, attention to detail, process management, documentation, and teamwork skills.
