　　AECOM’s Energy group are looking for a Team Lead in Secondary Systems Design to work across a number of diverse and challenging projects in Transmission and Distribution, while leading a technical team of design engineers. This role will allow a proven engineer to utilise their engineering knowledge and progress their career in a team leadership role.

　　What will a day in this role look like?

　　With a strong pipeline of Transmission and Distribution projects awarded across New Zealand we are looking for a substation secondary engineer to support our fantastic team in Wellington. As well as taking on the responsibility of a Team Lead role, you will be involved in project delivery either in a project management or technical capaciity.

　　Leading a team of protection and secondary design engineers which includes:

　　Ensuring the welfare of the team and maintaining a collaborative environment.

　　Safeguarding the wellbeing and safety of team members and ensuring adherence with AECOM policies/procedures.

　　Coordinating and scheduling project teams to successfully execute projects.

　　Being responsible for team KPIs

　　Involvement in business development activities and preparing proposals.

　　Fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.

　　Identifying and driving change in the team to enhance client experience.

　　As well as the team lead role the successful candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their technical and/or project management skills.

　　Qualifications

　　The successful candidate will ideally have the following experience:

　　Proven technical competency in HV substations secondary design with the ability to work independently

　　Leadership experience - people and/or projects

　　Strong interpersonal skills with the drive to achieve outstanding results

　　Strong oral and written communication skills

　　Commercial acumen, and the ability to maintain client base

　　Proven ability to deal with competing demands under tight timeframes

　　Experience working in an engineering consultancy is an advantage

　　Project management experience is an advantage

　　Experience working with NZ clients and local industry knowledge is an advantage.
