Hours- 4-10's Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
THE DAY TO DAY...
Lead area team membersAdherence to standard workCreate, maintain, audit, and improve standard workAssist in picking and packing of orders, when neededUtilize forklifts in a safe manner and ensure the team is following established safety protocolsMonitor picking system to ensure FIFO principles are being adhered to.Training new employees, transfers, and cross training in other departments, as necessaryFilling in for team members on vacation or absent across various departmentsRoot cause problem solving issues that prevent the department from meeting daily order demand.Good understanding of waste elimination, continuous improvement, safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. Ability to identify waste and eliminate itProperly filling out production control charts and good understanding of the production control board and its functionAbility to effectively communicate to team members, supervisors and other Ariens Company personnelTHE QUALIFICATIONS...Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredPast Leadership experience (preferred)Experience and/or certifications on various warehouse equipment (reach trucks, sit down, etc)Training and strong communication skillsUnderstanding of Lean and 6SBasic computer skills (Excel experience preferred)Understands and has the ability to utilize the Ariens Company Standardized Problem Solving ProcessAdditional education in lean, leadership, or distribution preferredMust be able to read invoices in English and understanding commands in English from picking system
