Overview
This innovative company is developing cutting-edge mechatronic solutions for precision motor-control applications, including next-gen electric vehicles, autonomous systems, and advanced industrial automation. Primary Responsibilities:
Test and debug circuit with the aid of customer requirements, schematic, bill of materials, PCB layout artwork, etc.
Decompose and combine, customer and internal requirements to specific hardware design requirements
Design (or verify if reusing existing design) electronic circuits that meet customer requirements
Develop tests (or update if reusing existing tests) to validate design to customer requirements.
Work with suppliers to select appropriate components and ensure supply throughout the life of HM designed part
Support calibration and EOL FFT stands and equipment
Research innovative and effective solutions (circuit designs, component selections, etc.) to customer requirements
Manage database of approved parts used across multiple projects
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical Schematic Design and Development (Master’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of industry experience
Previous experience in circuit design
Capability to design and develop Schematics, analysis of circuit design to requirements, verification of performance to requirements
Schematic Capture and Circuit Analysis Tools (Cadence preferred but other tools acceptable)
Familiarity with motors, sensors and electromagnetics (EMI/EMC) desirable
Familiarity with digital communications protocols (CAN, LIN, SENT, I2C, SPI, etc.) desirable
Strong Knowledge of Electrical Hardware and Microprocessor Architecture
Power Electronics Design and Analysis of 3 Phase machines
Design, Build, and Test of Electrical Hardware Design and Processor Interfaces
Bench, Test Stand, and Vehicle debug and analysis
Additional useful skills/experience:
Knowledge of Freescale, Infineon, TI processors
Knowledge of ISO 26262 Safety Standards and Requirements is preferred
Knowledge of Customer Specific CAN tools and Requirements (CANalyzer, CANape Preferred)
Matlab/Simulink
Excel/Visual Basic
Thermal Analysis Tools, Ex. Ansys or Flowtherm
IPC 610 Standards Class II and III, and other applicable IPC Standards Preferred
Good interpersonal skills with clear communication (Korean and Chinese language skills a plus)
Ability to read schematics and PCB layout
Mechatronic hardware design and debugging with Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic analyzers, etc.
Previous embedded systems test design and execution
Basic programming skills
