Position Summary
In support of Morehouse School of Medicine’s Vision; “Leading the creation and advancement of health equity,” the Department of Public Health is seeking a Teaching Associate to join their team!
The main effort for this appointment is significant contributions to departmental teaching and service programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Public Health Biostatistics from a regionally accredited college or university.
Experience: Two (2) years experience in classroom instruction, curriculum coordination and management.
Experience with R, SAS , or SPSS .
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Biostatistics or Statistics course development.
Interest in developing and teaching new courses in Biostatistics.
Completed Biostatistics and Epidemiology courses.
Public health and/or research experience

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
General Responsibilities:
Engage in research and service in core and elective course and workshops in the residential and online MPH programs as the institution prepares for a school of public health.”
Provides support to students and faculty in the Master of Public Health Program.
Provides instructions to students in the development of proper study habits and test-taking strategies.
Disseminates score reports on subject examinations to Course Directors.
Assists in the tracking of the overall student performance and prepares reports of those factors, which may predict success in the curriculum.
Provide academic support to core faculty.
Prepare articles, reports, presentations.
Conduct literature reviews.
Collect and analyze data.
Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations.
Specific Duties:
Participate in the course management of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and other courses in the Department of Public Health Education.
Serve as data analyst for master’s research.Review master’s research for accuracy in revision and format.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
