About This Role:
The Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health (FNDH), withinthe College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a9-month Teaching Assistant Professor with expertise in foodscience and nutrition to join their team. This position will teach anddevelop curricula for undergraduate and graduate courses, mentorstudents, and participate in academic governance responsibilities. Thisnon-tenure track position will report directly to the DepartmentHead.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teach on-campus and online undergraduate and graduate coursesrelated to integrating food science principles and their impact onhuman health and nutritionDesign and update course curricula to promote an active learningexperience for studentsMentor and advise graduate studentsCollaborate with colleagues and students on projects, fostering aculture of academic excellenceStay current with trends and developments in food science related tofunctional foodsProvide service to the program, department, college, and universityOther duties as assignedThis 9-month position at the rank of teaching assistant professor hasa negotiable starting date of Summer or Fall 2024, with acompetitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
