　　Details about this opportunity: 

　　Fee for Service Teacher of the Visually Impaired

　　Providing vision and orientation and mobility services for school age children

　　Compensation: $80/hour

　　Please note this is an average. Rates are determined by service provided, professional experience, and license/certifications held.

　　Various cases in Westchester, NY

　　11 sessions per week (approximately 2 days)

　　Available during and after school hours

　　Responsibilities: 

　　Initial and on-going assessments designed for blind and visually impaired

　　Provide instruction and support to students in the development and

　　maintenance of skills specified in the students’ IEP/IFSP

　　Ongoing communication with lead supervisors and school team.

　　Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing on a daily basis.

　　Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach

　　and continue personal development.

　　Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.

　　Attend CSE/CPSE/IFSP meetings.

　　About You: 

　　If you have these attributes:

　　Strong written and verbal communication skills

　　Strong ability to collaborate with various professionals

　　Self-starter and independent problem solver

　　Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail

　　Ability to function well in a high-paced and dynamic environment

　　Flexible thinker with the ability to pivot when necessary

　　Must be a team-player

　　 And this background: 

　　NYS Certification Teacher of Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired

　　(TVI)

　　Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supportingchildren and their families preferred
