JOB REQUIREMENTS: Collect fares or vouchers from passengers, and makechange or issue receipts as necessary. Communicate with dispatchers byradio, telephone, or computer to exchange information and receiverequests for passenger service. Complete accident reports whennecessary. Determine fares based on trip distances and times, usingtaximeters and fee schedules, and announce fares to passengers. Drivetaxicabs or privately owned vehicles to transport passengers. Followrelevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation,and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations. Notify dispatchersor company mechanics of vehicle problems. Perform minor vehicle repairs,such as cleaning spark plugs, or take vehicles to mechanics forservicing. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as regulating tirepressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water. Pick up passengers atprearranged locations, at taxi stands, or by cruising streets inhigh-traffic areas. Provide passengers with assistance entering andexiting vehicles, and help them with any luggage. Provide passengerswith information or advice about the local area, points of interest,hotels, or restaurants. Report to taxicab services or garages to receivevehicle assignments. Test vehicle equipment, such as lights, brakes,horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation. Vacuum andclean interiors and wash and polish exteriors of automobiles. *****OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Drivers need to have a cleanbackground of 10 yrs and a clean driving record of 5 yrs. (UnlessDWI,OWI, and any of these then 10 yrs clean) Must have held a driverslicense for more than 2 yrs. Age of 23 and older. Be able to lift up to50 lbs on occasion, be able to calmly, safely, and carefully drive inall weather and road conditions. Be neat and clean in appearance, own asmart phone and be able to use it correctly with a hands free device.All drivers must have respect for all individuals no matter health,mental health or physical issues.
