What you can expect

　　The Tax Solutions Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Data Vertical and other business partners. This role will support the ingestion/storage of tax data, provide project leadership for enterprise projects, produce business intelligence reporting/visualization, and solution the tax technology needs of Zoom. This role reports to the Tax Operations Lead and works closely with the Tax Solutions Senior Analyst.

　　About the Team

　　As a key member of the Tax Operations team, the Tax Solutions Manager will play a critical role in enabling the success of the tax department by leading the tax data strategy for enterprise level projects, maintaining cross-functional relationships, and implementing solutions to handle tax data and reporting for the Direct and Indirect Tax and Transfer Pricing teams.

　　Responsibilities

　　Driving the full lifecycle for tax related projects such as data ingestion for a unified Tax data platform during mergers and acquisitions, data transformation, new product launches, and enterprise system implementations.

　　Partnering with Tax stakeholders and liaising with cross-functional partners to work towards the success of enterprise level data projects and automation opportunities.

　　Supporting Tax subject matter experts through data driven analytics, analytical support during testing, and data visualizations to monitor trends.

　　Taking accountability for ensuring the data security of Tax relevant data stored in cloud systems by monitoring role access and partnering with data platform teams by providing recommendations.

　　Reviewing, developing, and enhancing Tax processes, policies, and procedures related to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), data privacy rules and regulations.

　　Leveraging their curiosity to delve into complex Tax matters, developing a deep understanding of the issues, and creating best-in-class solutions for them.

　　Keeping abreast of emerging tax technology trends and working with Tax subject matter experts to reevaluate and enhance existing tax technology strategy/architecture.

　　Recognizing data pipelines between organizational systems and the technical architecture.

　　What we’re looking for

　　8+ years of experience with SQL in a finance, accounting, and/or tax capacity.

　　Detailed-oriented individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

　　Adept with MS Excel and data analytic/visualization tools like Alteryx/Tableau. Experience with Python or similar programming languages.

　　Able to collaborate cross-functionally with tax partners, data scientists, legal advisors, engineering teams, and functional/technical architects by aggregating complex concepts into a concise summary for the intended audience.

　　Skill with documentation and producing business requirement documents that are engineering ready.

　　Experience working with data collected from a variety of sources including Excel, flat files, databases, and APIs.

　　Success extracting large volumes of tax and/or transaction data from enterprise systems (Zuora, Avalara, Vertex, Fonoa, Oracle, Netsuite, Snowflake, etc).

　　Experience building solutions that are subject to SOX controls, including interfacing with auditors, and data privacy laws.

　　$195,400.00
